Paula Valero Comín
(Valencia 1976) is a trandisciplinary artist and cultural producer: her practise includes work in the fields of production, activism, curating and research. A graduate from the College of Fine Arts of Valencia (2001) and the National School of Fine Arts in Paris (ENSBA, 2006), Master in Artistic Production in the UPV (Valencia 2011). Trained in Set Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts La Plata (Buenos Aires, 1999) and Performing Arts (1998 Valencia). Currently continuing her Ph.D. research work and working on itinerant projects. Various scholarships (Colin Grant Franc Brazil, grant-residence Helmet Rio de Janeiro, the UPV DKV scholarship to Poland ... etc) have favored her processual and itinerant projects including “Recorridos por zonas precarias” (Tours of Precarious Zones) (Sala Parpalló Valencia 2011), Agencia puro souvenir (Paris, Havana and Tijuana Valencia, Galería Name), Prêt a précaire (from 2003 to 2004 Paris and Rio de Janeiro). These range from collaborations with other groups such as Grupo de Arte Callejero (GAC) /Mujeres Públicas (Buenos Aires) and the Sewing Cooperative of Cidade De Deus to work with artists such as Esther Ferrer, Julie Athané, etc... Recently she published the book: Zonas de Recursos/el arte en acción ( Resource Centres/ Art in Action) produced by the Sala Parpallo in Valencia. |
